Dominique CAZANAVE worked as a baker from 1968 to 1994. In 1985 he owned a bakery in Pézenas (small town in the south of France) and was already making the local speciality Petits Pâtés. Conviced by the potential of this product and because of his former carrier, he decided, with the help of his wife and family, to embark upon this family venture ; making and distributing Petits Pâtés from Pézenas. This ambition was realised in 1993 with the opening of "Le Petit Scapin".
Demonstrating its commitment to food safety and hygiene, meeting demands of legislation and customers at both national and Europeen levels, the company obtained the HACCP certification not long after its creation. Dominique Cazanave, as a serious and dedicated company owner, works with modern equipment and is focused on the quality of his production, with the respect of high level of hygiene and safety standards. To cope with the demand, the company employs two persons at the production chain. In order to limit the stocks, the company deals directly with the product distributors. The customers of Le Petit Scapin are diversified as they go from supermarkets to bakeries, pastries, and also delicatessens or simply people stopping by the production site.
